At NFF (Dutch Film Festival) 2014 Nelleke’s documentary ‘Floating Bodies’ receives the ‘Film Price of the city of Utrecht’ for best Debut Film! A few years earlier Nelleke was granted the IDFA-Mediafund Price. Awarding her film scenario ‘Floating Bodies’ as the best scenario developed at IDFA-Mediafund Workshop 2011. (photo’s 31pictures)
‘Floating Bodies’ is produced by Selfmade Films in co-production with broadcaster HUMAN.

Nelleke Koop (1977) works as a freelance documentary filmmaker in Amsterdam, since graduating from the Film Academy (2009).
Previously she studied at the Art Academy in Kampen, the Frank Mohr Institute in Groningen and Hunter College in New York.

In 2010 Nelleke traveled aboard Navy frigate Hr Ms Tromp to the coast of Somalia. During Mission Atalanta she films a documentary on life and work in the Navy.
At the ‘Keying into the Brain’ festival this documentary wins the ‘Golden Heron’ award, for best commissioned film 2010. (photo Sitan van Sluis)
